Wholeness

Wholeness.

Arriving at and sinking into life on Freedom Farm this summer was for me a spiraling into sweet wholeness.  To wake with the sun and begin the day with a walk amidst the ever-blossoming flowers, herbs and vegetables was a walk in divine alignment.  As the sun rose and sweat dropped, I found myself deepen into a silent relationship with that plot of earth, bed of life.

My journey to Freedom Farm came after returning to the U.S. after several years abroad in a graduate study, primarily in Brisbane, Australia.  There I studied
International Politics--Peace & Conflict Resolution-- immersing myself in dialogue and contemplation about the violence and inequalities of our world.  By graduation time, I felt a twinge of paralysis amidst the multiple dimensions, a twisted mix of root causes leading to a frustrating global dynamic.  I found myself struggling to answer how one committed to being a change-maker could enter in most effectively.

Visiting my cousins and delving into Freedom Farm living, I found my dreams set free, breathing life into that paralysis.  By beginning with the land and grounded in community, I increasingly felt the intensity of possibility of growth.  Away from television and constant commotion, at Freedom Farm there is an immense gift of space in which to tap into one's own truths.  One's own unique creative wings are empowered to expand, and those praying for transformation are given a forum for becoming agents of change.

With deep gratitude, I bow to the land and the open hearts and minds of those nourishing Freedom Farm's vision.  Your gift is infinitely profound, is infinitely peace.
